Anyone happen to know why they wait so late at Koshien before calling a game? It was raining all day yesterday with a forecast for 90% throughout the night. Still, they hadn't called the game and I made the one-hour ride to Koshien and arrived just as they called the game at about 5:55. This has happened twice in the past year!

It was a bit inefficient by the authorities. It was about 10 minutes before the game was due to start that the decision was taken. The decision should have been taken earlier which would have saved you the trouble. Mayumi has said that he was expecting to play and so was Kubo.

I had heard that the home manager decides whether to play or not, but I imagine a higher authority can decide as well. I've heard the Koshien field is good for getting rid of water quickly, maybe explaining why they can wait so long. But still was a late decision rude to the fans.
