The Lions continue to roar in September with their fourth win in five games, hammering the Hawks last night 9-2. (John Gibson has an excellent wrap up on his blog).

Every player in the Leo's starting line-up had at least one hit in support of submariner Kazuhisa Makita. The knuckle-dragger earned his 10th win and continues to mystify Pa League hitters with pitches that probably wouldn't break a window. Makita proves that pitching is not always about velocity but movement and location.

Speaking of movement and location, three of my diehard Lions friends are making the 8-hour train ride north to watch the Leos in Sendai this weekend! Ganbatte Okada-san, Mrs. Okada-san and Ike-chan!

What great fans!
