Okay, I guess I jinxed them. Writing about the Lions playing the "bottom-feeders" must have had an effect, because the fifth place Eagles came up big this weekend, sweeping the Leos at the tissue box. (I removed that post).

Friday's 1-0 loss was a tough one, but yesterday's bullpen meltdown was worse. After pitching so well for the last few weeks, Wakui and company couldn't get it done on Saturday. Today, the offense couldn't get much going against Mah-kun, and that was it.

The Fighters won two of three from the Buffaloes to pull even in the Pa League... again. It's going to be a tight race from here on out. Lions have the B's up next at the Q-Jo, while the Ham'sters visit the Marines.

As a side note, do the Eagles have the worst fight song or what? Do the fans really enjoy singing about a corporation?
