Chris Carter came through not once but twice for the Lions last night, as they squeaked past the Buffaloes 4-3 to regain top spot in the Pa League (by a few percentage points).

Carter blasted a 3-run HR in the 6th inning, then came through with a clutch sac fly in the 8th to put the Leos on top. It was the Stanford product's second 4-RBI game of the season.

Shaky defense in the 8th inning with Randy Williams on the hill cost Yusei Kichuchi the win, despite another outstanding start. The kid allowed only 1 ER on 4 hits over 6-plus innings, lowering his ERA to 1.99 for the season. Wiliams got the win while Wakui earned another save.

*Note to Lions manager Watanabe: do NOT put Takuya Hara at 3rd base as a defensive replacement anymore. OK? His glove is made of cement.
