日本ハム中田翔内野手（１８）が、ヤクルト由規とのバトルを前に、控えめになった。本拠地デビュー直後の会見で「あいつ（由規）は１５４キロを投げて結果も出している。すごいと思う」とビッグマウスは封印し、静かに初対決を心待ちにした。先発するかどうかは微妙だが、梨田監督はヤクルト高田監督と申し合わせた上で必ず対戦するように出場させる方針だ。
