CPBL: Villegas, Pemberton In; Paniagua Out
The Makoto Cobras have signed 28 year old right handed pitcher Felix Villegas. In 2005 with the Reading Phillies of the Double-A Eastern League Villegas was 2-2 with a 5.67 ERA in 26 games.

The Cobras also inked 37 year old right fielder Rudy Pemberton. He had a cup of coffee in the Major Leagues and in Japan in 1997 with the Seibu Lions. Pemberton has not been in a Major League organization since 1999.

So much for Jose Paniagua.

Rudy Pemberton, now there's a name from the past, the far, far past.

As for Jose Paniagua, I didn't expect him to last long. Then again, very few foreign players seem to last in Taiwan either. Though, as with Paniagua, it's most likely he pitched himself out of a job.
