Atchison: Hanshin Bound
The Hanshin Tigers have reached an agreement with pitcher Scott Atchison [Baseball-Reference].

Atchison went 0-0 with a 4.11 ERA in 22 games with the San Francisco Giants last year. He has a 2-3 record with a 4.10 ERA in 53 games.

Looks like he will take the place of Darwin in the pen in front of JFK. He hasn't been a regular starting pitcher since 2002 when he started 21 games for AAA Tacoma. Had fantastic seasons in 2006 and 2007 with a 2.34 and 2.01 ERA respectively in AAA and 90 K vs. 23 BB over that time. No doubt he can pitch, maybe they will see if he can start?
