Rakuten Signs Kevin Hodges
Rakuten signed pitcher Kevin Hodges to a 1 year contract. Hodges was 9-10 with Samsung of the KBO last year. Hodges has already played three years with the Yakult Swallows and has a NPB record of 27-20 with a 4.16 ERA in 64 games. [Link - Daily Yomiuri]

I hope Hodges does better in Japan than he did in the KBO. I saw him pitch a few times last season and wasn't too impressed. Very inconsistent.

I, too, have seen Kevin pitch in Korea in which I thought he pitched great every game, but did not have the team behind him defensively playing up to par. I predict he will have a great season in Japan with the Eagles. He has won 17 games with the Swallows, holding the title for most wins in Japan with Iwamura.
