According to Sankei Sports, the Nippon Ham Fighters will be testing out former Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox minor league pitcher Brad Thomas as early as the 19th. You can check out Brad Thomas' complete major and minor league stats from Sox Prospects.com.

According to this report from Nikkan Sports (Japanese only), Thomas has made the team. The article states that he threw about 50 pitches in the bullpen, and the decision to sign him was made on the 22nd. Fighters' manager Trey Hillman thinks he'll be a part of the starting rotation.
