Takatsu Second to Save 200

Takatsu Second to Save 200
Last night (4/28) at a packed Koshien Stadium, Yakult's Takatsu held to a two run lead in the 9th for his 6th save of the season, his 200th save of his career. That ranks him second to Yokohama's Daimajin (Sasaki - now with Seattle) who left to the Majors after 229 career saves.

6 saves through 25 games project to approximately 33 saves in a 140 game season. That'll be 27 more, leaving Takatsu 2 shy of Sasaki at the end of the season. Of course, it only takes the slightest increase in pace to put him on top.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
