Arai Home Run Streak
Hiroshima's Arai hit a home run in today's game with the Dragons, making it five consecutive games he has hit a home run. Can anyone give us information on records for home runs in consecutive games?

Thanks.

Both Oh (Giants) and Bass (Hanshin) hit home runs in seven consecutive games in 1972 and 1986 respectively. 10 players have hit home runs in six consecutive games. I'll have to come back to this some time to put up a chart. For reference, Seibu's Cabrera hit home runs in six games in a rwo in August of 2003, the Giants' Abe in April of 2004, and last year's Triple Crown winner Matsunaka (Daiei) in July of 2004.

Thanks. Arai has now made it six in six with a two run shot in the 6th inning against Hanshin (June 28, 2005).
