Masahide Kobayashi reaches 20 saves for 5 straight years
Lotte Marines closer Masahide Kobayashi reached 20 saves after finishing off the July 12 game against the Seibu Lions, giving him 5 consecutive years with 20 or more saves. He becomes just the 3rd person in NPB history to do so, following Yutaka Enatsu who did it with Hiroshima and Nippon Ham between 1979-83, and current Chicago White Sox pitcher Shingo Takatsu who did it with Yakult from 1999-2003.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
