Live Internet Pro Yakyu Broadcasts?

Live Internet Pro Yakyu Broadcasts?
Hi all,

I'm living in Vancouver Canada and we don't get any Japanese baseball stuff here.

So can anyone recommend any websites where I can watch free live broadcasts of Pro Yakyu?

For everyone's info, you can watch live Seibu Lions broadcast on this website. (Not every game) and it's free.

Gee, I've only had the new "revamped" site up for a couple of days and already most of the FAQ questions are coming up. I really need to get the old articles back up soon.

Nonetheless, this is my list of live sites:

  • BayStars (RP - $RR)

  • Carp (RA)

  • Hawks (RP - FRR)

  • --- Notes ---

    "RP" = "Real Player"
    "RA" = "Real Audio"
    "FRR" = "Free Registration Required"
    "$RR" = "Paid Registration Required"

    Note that you need to be able to read Japanese to be able to register.

    I know that there are some other sites that use Windows Media Player, but since you couldn't pay me to use a Microsoft OS, I can't say what they offer.

    Note for those trying to re-login to the Hawks' site: Use this login page to get there. The above link only shows the new registry form, not the login form.

    Windows Media Player isn't a Microsoft OS-only product. It is also available as a Macintosh product. (I use it on my PowerBook G3.)

    Check it out--the sound quality is MUCH better than RealPlayer.

    About

    This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

    It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
