昨季１軍登板ゼロのヤクルト五十嵐亮太投手（２８）が復活への手応えをつかむ“中田斬（ぎ）り”だ。日本ハムとの練習試合に９回から登板。１死一塁で迎えた中田との対決では、４球連続の直球で空振り三振に仕留めた。中田への３球目に、この日最速の１４８キロでストライクを奪った。「まだ速い球を投げる体の使い方を忘れている。試合でどんどん投げて思い出したい。前のように投げられる感覚はあります」と力強かった。
