怪物のバットから快音が消えた。日本ハム高校生ドラフト１巡目の中田翔内野手（１８）が２７日、ヤクルトとの練習試合に「６番一塁」で出場し、５打数で４三振を喫した。３回には守備で初のタイムリー失策を犯すなど、散々。試合後には梨田監督が付きっきりで居残り特打も行ったが、３月１日から始まるオープン戦、そして同２０日の開幕戦（対ロッテ、札幌ドーム）へ不安が広がった。
