ソフトバンク多村もオープン戦２度目の猛打賞で復調への糸口をつかんだ。初回に朝井の内角直球を、両腕をたたんで中前へ。「内角を打てたのがよかった」と一塁ベース上では素振りをして残像を確かめた。その後は左前打、右中間二塁打。まだ打撃は納得いくレベルに届いてはないが、３回は松田の三塁ゴロ（記録は内野安打）に封殺寸前で二塁に滑り込んだ。キャンプからの果敢な走塁を光らせ「僕だけでなく、みんなが次の塁を狙う。それで（攻撃のリズムを）つくっている」。
