レッドソックス松坂大輔投手（２６）が、予告通り「ボコボコ」に打たれた。オリオールズ戦に先発し、２回までは無失点に抑えたが、３回にはマイナーの招待選手のノットに初被弾。さらに４回にも招待選手のデュボイに２ランを浴びるなど、４回６安打４失点（自責点３）で初黒星を喫した。試合前には結果にこだわらずコース、高さのテストを明言。試合後には「収穫がありました」と余裕の表情だった。
