Okajima Subjected to All-Star Final Vote
Former Yomiuri Giants and Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters reliever Hideki Okajima was left off the American League All-Star Team, but is part of the All-Star Final Vote. The Boston Red Sox lefty, who famously stated during spring training that he would be "a hero in the dark," is 2-0 with a 0.92 ERA so far this season with 4 saves.

Okajima has some competition on the AL Final Vote Ballot. Accompanying him are 3 starters and 1 middle reliever. The starters are Jeremy Bonderman of the Detroit Tigers (8-1, 3.90), Kelvim Escobar of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (9-3, 3.32), and Roy Halladay of the Toronto Blue Jays (9-3, 4.27). The other middle reliever is Pat Neshek of the Minnesota Twins (3-0, 1.37).

If anybody wants to vote for Okajima, then here [MLB.com] is the link.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
