Nichi-Bei Yakyu in 2008?

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Nichi-Bei Yakyu in 2008?
Does anyone know if there will be a MLB - NPB series this year after the season? I believe they have generally held the series every other year, but with the coming Olympics and WBC I was wondering if they might give it a rest this year.

I don't know why they continue the Nichi-Bei Series after the birth of the WBC. The Nichi-Bei Series is just a goodwill exhibition series that doesn't mean anything, but promoting MLB to Japanese fans. It's not even televised in the US. Who wants to see NPB players take on the best of MLB players from around the world? Japan versus the World? What's the use of that when we have the WBC?
