Red Sox Make Offer to Tazawa
One of the teams that has been actively courting 22-year old fireballer Junichi Tazawa is the Boston Red Sox, and, according to Sankei Sports, they have formally extended an offer to him to the tune of $6 million, but the length of the contract and whether it's a Major or Minor League contract is not known.

Craig Shipley, who was instrumental in getting Daisuke Matsuzaka and Hideki Okajima into Red Sox uniforms 2 years ago, declined to comment, keeping with Red Sox team policy.
