Eri Yoshida Shines

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Eri Yoshida Shines
Yesterday (May 29) 18-year-old female knuckleball pitcher Eri Yoshida had a stellar debut for the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League. You can read the extraordinary story of this gifted young Japanese athlete on the ESPN website.

A wonderful and inspiring story indeed. I will try to gather a group to go see her pitch in late July when the Outlaws come north to Canada for a three-game series vs. the Victoria Seals. Sugoi!

Another story about Eri Yoshida I missed yesterday, nicely written up in the NY Times.

And there are several Japanese interviews and stories about her as well, on YouTube.
