Rhinos sign P David Harden

Rhinos sign P David Harden
The EDA Rhinos have signed 25 year old right handed pitcher David Harden. This season he was 10-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 18 games with the Somerset Patriots of the independent Atlantic League. He has never played in affiliated baseball.

"(Getting picked up) is my ultimate goal, especially never having been in affiliated ball here in the States,” Harden said . “But it’s a new opportunity. I love it here, I do. I looked at it that if things don’t work out over here and I come back here and that’s the worst thing that could happen, that would be awesome. I like it here so much. But being later in the year, if I stayed there’s no guarantee if I kept throwing well that I’d get an opportunity with affiliated ball. So I just decided to take the risk and try something new.” [quote courtesy of Somerville NJ News mycentraljersey.com]
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
