Monkeys release P J.D. Durbin
The Lamigo Monkeys have released pitcher J.D. Durbin. This season he was 5-2 with eight saves in 12 opportunities to go along with a 2.89 ERA in 27 games.

In his place Ty'Relle Harris finally gets a chance to showcase his stuff with the first team. Since being signed in June he has gone 3-0 with one save and a 3.04 ERA in seven games with the Monkeys minor league club.

Even though he's been released, Durbin is still with the team throwing bullpen sessions on his own.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
