I realize that this is an old thread, but I just need to add this.

Does anyone know why Yi-hao Lin never pitched much in the NPB? The 90 mph heater only saw a few games.

The only ichi-gun time he had was two short stints in 2010 during which he threw 5 innings and allowed 7 earned runs. He was dropped to ni-gun the following day both times.

His ni-gun stats weren't too bad until 2013 when his ERA went from 3.26 in 30.1 innings in 2012 to 5.91 in 35 innings. The 2.85 ERA in 2010 was probably what gave him a chance at ichi-gun that year, but that was his only pair of chances.
