Yanks Now Interested in Nakamura
The New York Post reported that the Yankees are interested in Kintetsu's Norihiro Nakamura, as are the Mets and Mariners.

Looks like Nori's turning into a bit of a hippari-dako! And why not? He's certainly one of the top performers here, although I notice that he missed out on the top RBIs this season (only just, though).

Other posters have said that Nori won't go to MLB because of the pay cut, or whatever, and westbaystars-san says that Yokohama needs him. I just hope he acts like a good Osaka boy and joins Hanshin!

Having said that, though, it was reported in SanSpo the other day that the incessant rumours that Hanshin were after him were starting to annoy Kintetsu's owner, which is perhaps why Hanshin's Kuma-owner made a statement that he wouldn't make any more statements regarding the Nakamura situation. Go figure .
