Beech has been in baseball a long time. He used to pitch for the Phillies (1996-98). He went 8-22 with a 5.37 ERA in 53 major league games. [Baseball-Reference]
- Former Major Leaguer Julio Manon has signed with the President Lions.
Manon pitched last year for the Kia Tigers of the KBO. It should be interesting to see how he adapts.

The Sinon Bulls have signed right hander Clinton Hosford. The 25 year old Canadian was 4-2 with a 4.71 ERA last season with the Vero Beach Dodgers of the Single-A Florida State League.
The China Trust Whales have plucked right fielder Charles Peterson out of the independent leagues. The 32 year old right handed hitter hit .305 with 14 home runs and 67 RBIs last year for the Lincoln Saltdogs of the Northern League.
Former Major Leaguer Julio Manon has signed with the President Lions. The 32 year old appeared in 23 games with the Montreal Expos in 2003, recording a 4.13 ERA in relief.
Meanwhile, the Makoto Cobras have inked 27 year old lefty Brian Langen. Last year he was 4-3 with a 2.39 ERA for the Bridgeport Bluefish of the indy Atlantic League.
