CPBL Farm System

Discussion in the Around Asia forum
CPBL Farm System
This year the Chinese Professional Baseball League will push for the development of young talent more than ever. There are four minor league teams - Team Red, Team Blue, the President Lions' Second Team, and the La New Bears' Second Team.

The Lions have signed 35 year old right handed pitcher Tim Kester to a contract and assigned him to their farm club. In 2005 Kester was 11-9 with a 165.1 IP in 30 games with the Pawtucket Red Sox of the Triple-A International League.

George, aka Kenny, Rayborn is with the La New Bears' second team. He pitched last season for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the NPB.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
