This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the 6th inning this evening (April 2) at Tokyo Dome against the BayStars, Petagine hit a towering home run over the second deck that hangs off the back wall just in fair territory beyong the right field foul pole for a two run home run.
The home run, besides being of impressive distance, is Petagine's fourth in as many games. He's still got a way's to go to reach Oh and Bass who each had seven game home run hitting streaks. Seven batters have had six game home run hitting streaks (six of them tied for the Pacific League record). [Source: 2003 Baseball Record Book, Baseball Magazine Sha, ISBN4-583-03724-4]
