Suitcase Sefton and the American Dream

Suitcase Sefton and the American Dream
I thought you'd be interested in my new novel, SUITCASE SEFTON AND THE AMERICAN DREAM, just published (March 2006) by Triumph Books.

SUITCASE SEFTON AND THE AMERICAN DREAM is the story of a major league scout who discovers a pitcher in a Japanese-American internment camp in Arizona during World War II. Combining fictional characters and historic personages, the novel is grounded in extensive historical research, growing out of a long article I wrote on baseball in the camps ("Baseball Behind Barbed Wire," Whole Earth Review, Winter 1990). You can find out more about the book, as well as read the original article and the first chapter of the novel, on my web site.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
