Let’s continue talking about some tips when going to home plate from third base.

When to leave on a squeeze: a base runner can't leave too early on a squeeze bunt. He must allow the hitter to do his job of bunting the ball. I like to think that the arm should be coming forward before you break towards home. The best way to do this is by making sure that the pitcher’s stride foot has made contact with the ground before the runner breaks. As his lead foot comes down on the ground, break for home. Now it is too late for the pitcher to change the direction that he is going to throw the ball. When a runner starts before the pitcher puts his foot down, he can then throw a pitch-out or knock your batter down. The runner becomes a dead duck at home plate.
