Hawks find offense, even series
CHIBA--With a chance to send the Marines into the Pacific League Climax Series' second stage, Hiroyuki Kobayashi instead gave the Hawks a second chance.

Fukuoka SoftBank's hitters ripped into the Chiba Lotte right-hander and evened their best-of-three first stage with an 8-3 victory at Chiba Marine Stadium on Tuesday night.
