Shane Spencer to Pacific League?
Daily Sports ran a short piece on Shane Spencer, in which he outlined his intent to remain in Japan and perhaps play in the Pacific League. The article speculated that he might join Orix.

He can protect Kiyohara in the line up.

With Orix, Spencer, if he produces, could very well find himself in a starting position. As Tani and Garcia have struggled highly, and it's unlikely Garcia will be back. Plus, Spencer could DH, too.

Spenser is hitting .223 right now. He strikes out way too often, always has and always will.

Just because others are doing worse than Spenser, hard to do, is no reason for him to play anywhere.

However Orix is the home of washed up players, so maybe Spencer can give Kiyohara a run as strikeout king on the team.
