September 27th - A neat victory

September 27th - A neat victory
Fukudome is proving to be a very useful player in the end of the season delivering crucial hit after crucial hit. Again he provided the winning run - a single in the eighth to give Tigers a 2-1 win. This puts Tigers 0.5 games behind Carp with two to play. Carp have 3 games left so if either team blinks the other will win. Tigers play BayStars and as long as Fujii is not involved in the catching duties they are in with a good chance. Carp are playing the Swallows at Mazda and a typical 2-1 rubber will ensure them second place. It will also probably doom Wada and so has it's tempting side to it.

Actually the Tigers have 3 left, the Carp have 4. I wrote a full breakdown of the remaining schedule and the various scenarios that remain possible.
Cheers.
