Ringing the changes

Discussion in the Tiger Tails forum
Ringing the changes
Tigers announced that Matt Hague, Cody Satterwhite, Nelson Perez and Mauro Gomez would not be returning. Whilst the first three are easy to understand - they didn't make any real impact, Gomez is a bit of a surprise. One does feel that he was offered as a scapegoat for management incompetence.
Gomez's RBI count was up by seven on the 2015 season. He drove in 79 RBIs (incidentally the highest in the team) with 19 home runs on 127 hits from 139 games and 554 AB. But an inability to manage batting was just one of Kanemoto's failings in 2016.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
