Greisinger has stellar return to the Dome in Giants win
After missing the entire season last year due to a bad elbow, Seth Greisinger is looking to reassert himself as one of the most dependable and dominant foreign starters in the league. If today is any indication, then the rest of the Central League should look out.

Greisinger shut out the Hawks over five innings of two-hit ball, and his bullpen carried him the rest of the way as the Giants defeated the Hawks for a split at Yahoo! Dome.

The home team had left-hander Hiroki Yamada on the mound, fresh from his experience in Australia, and he did not disappoint either. He pitched good enough to win over six innings of one-run ball, with eight strikeouts and three walks. However, it was those three walks that killed Yamada in the end, as he walked the bases loaded in the 5th and gave up an RBI groundout to give the Giants a 1-0 lead.

The rest of the offense for Yomiuri came in the 8th off DeLeon and Kamiuchi. Kamiuchi gave up a hit to Kamei after getting two outs, and DeLeon was greeted by Hayato Sakamoto with a two-run blast to give the Giants a 3-0 lead.

The Giants bullpen was very good in this game, as they gave up just two hits in four innings of relief. Yuya Kubo and Norihito Kaneto each gave up a hit in their outings.

The Hawks now go out of doors to Kitakyushu for their next opponent, the Yokohama BayStars. That game will begin at 13:00, JST.
