Kudoh: 42 Year Old Complete Game
The Giants' 42 year old Kimiyasu Kudoh threw a complete game victory over one of his former teams, the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, on Thursday, May 19, 2005. Kudoh had just turned 42 two weeks earlier (May 5) and becomes the second pitcher in NPB history to throw a complete game at said age. Mainichi Orion veteran Tadashi Wakabayashi threw four complete games (3 wins, 1 loss) at the age of 42 in 1950, the final one shutting out the Kintetsu Pearls 3-0 on November 12 at the age of 42 and 8 months.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
