Rhodes Hits 350th Home Run
Tuffy Rhodes becomes the first foreign player to hit 350 career home runs in Japan, the 18th player in Japanese history to accomplish the feat. It took Rhodes just 5 games more than it took Oh, 1,278 games compared to 1,273 games for the fourth fastest speed to the record.

The home run to right against Rakuten's Asai was Rhodes' 17th home run of the season, a two run shot in the fourth inning to put the Giants up 7-0 at the time. Kokubo followed with a home run to left, his 18th on the season. The Giants went on to defeat the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles by the score of 9-3 at Tokyo Dome.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
