Perfect Game at Ni-gun
Kosuke Katoh, of the Chiba Lotte Marine's ni-gun team, threw a perfect game Saturday (July 1st). Katoh threw 114 pitches, he struck out 6, induced 11 groundouts, and 10 fly outs (including pop outs in the infield).

This was only the third perfect game in the Eastern League, and the first since Hiroshi Masumoto of the Taiyo Whales' farm team sent down all 27 Nippon Ham Fighters in order in 1987.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
