2002 CL & PL Games Finished (in relief) Leaders

Don't know exactly what or how many you want, so I gathered all of the closers with at least 20 finishes.
It is ordered by league and number of finishes (decremental order). Do you need more than this?

Thanks. I should have asked this the first time also -- who led each league in shutouts in 2002 (I only want the top player (ties included))?

I recently learned about using variables in MySQL, and they're very handy.
I've rewritten a number of scripts to use them.

Thank you. I'm putting together a database of all the league leaders (it fits well with the greatness points concept, and will be useful for the overall greatness ratings and my current project of doing teams for each decade (before 1950 counts as one decade), and can find other uses as well.

Anyway, I've found one more hole in my data I hope you can fill: the top one player in each league in 1999 in games finished. Thanks.

You're in luck. I just found my "Record Books" yesterday (up to the last two, anyway).

Anyway, Yakult's Takatsu lead the Central League in 1999 games finished with 35, two more than the Giants' Makihara who was converted to a closer that year.

The Pacific League saw Lotte's Warren close out 46 games, just beating out Hawk closer Pedraza with 45.

I'll try to remember to enter the career data for Makihara and Warren this evening.

I've updated Warren's and Makihara's career stats. I'm afraid that I don't have any Finishes, Starts, SavePoints, WildPitches, or Balks data before 1995 for Makihara.
