Davey Johnson as Orix GM?
I heard Davey Johnson might become the GM for Orix. Anyone hear that?

Nikkan Sports continues to back the idea that Collins will take over as the manager (as I replied in this thread). There is no mention about Davey Johnson in today's (September 29, 2006) paper.
Where are these rumors coming from? I didn't see any "Flash" at Japan Baseball Daily this time, and there was not even a follow up about the "Duncan to manage Orix" news flash. Nikkan Sports may not always get their speculation right, but these rumors seem to be coming out of left field.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world.
