Rakuten acquires Guzman
The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles announced Friday the acquisition of Dominican pitcher Domingo Guzman, who had played in Japan for four-plus years with the Yokohama BayStars and Chunichi Dragons. The 32-year-old right-hander agreed to an 18 million yen salary deal with Rakuten after joining a tryout held recently by the Pacific League club.
