Mahara-thon leaves Fighters, Hawks tied
Hawks closer Takahiro Mahara threw four shutout innings and pinch-runner Toshimasa Konta was thrown out at the plate to end the game in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks held the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters to a 4-4 tie at Sapporo Dome on Monday afternoon.
