This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Mike Sweeney pitched one-run ball over seven strong innings and
the Nippon Ham Fighters erupted in a six-run ninth en route to
winning its second consecutive Pacific League title in a 9-1 route of
the Lotte Marines on Saturday.
Sweeney (6-8) struck out three and walked three and Hisashi
Takeda and Micheal Nakamura held Lotte scoreless in the final two
innings at Chiba Marine Stadium.
It was the fourth straight win for Nippon Ham, which will play
for a spot in the Japan Series from the second stage of the Climax
Series against the winner of the first stage.
