Understudy Yamai steals the show
NAGOYA--In Japanese baseball's biggest show, Daisuke Yamai delivered the perfect show-stopper.

The 29-year-old Chunichi right-hander threw eight perfect innings, and closer Hitoki Iwase completed a tag-team perfecto to clinch the Dragons' first Japan Series title since 1954 with a 1-0 win at Nagoya Dome over the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters.
