Yakult Swallows club president Tadashi Suzuki said Thursday the Central League club has given Seth Greisinger unconditional release after the breakdown of contract negotiations with the American right-hander. A senior Yakult official said negotiations in the United States had "already turned into a money game," and admitted the team would begin searching for a new foreign player. The 32-year-old Greisinger was the winningest pitcher in the Central League in his first season with Yakult this year. He was one of the CL's top hurlers with a 16-8 record in 30 mound appearances with a 2.84 ERA.
