Seibu acquires right-hander Wasdin
The Seibu Lions said Monday they have acquired the services of John Wasdin, a right-hander who has 39 major league career wins and formerly pitched for the Yomiuri Giants.

I don't think the Seibu Lions made a very good choice with John Wasdin, especially if they're considering him for a spot in their rotation as the article says.

To be fair, he did have arm problems when he was with the Giants in 2002. But then again, he has the nickname, "Wayback Wasdin," for a good reason.

If he's going to have any success in Japan this time at age thirty-six, it should be in a relief role.
