Niigata wants to play host for an NPB baseball team

It seems Niigata wants in on some of the NPB goodness. On Thursday, Niigata prefectural mayor Hirohiko Izumida said a committee to help bring a baseball team to Niigata was being formed and that their first meeting is set to take place on the 24th.
