I took the trek out there June 9 to meet Tom Dillon, fellow columnist in The Japan Times, to watch the Lions interleague game against the Hiroshima Carp, suck up a few brewskies and enjoy the ballpark ambience.

Seibu Dome would be fine if it didn't have that stupid roof on it. It ruins the stadium, in my opinion. It stays cold in the early months even after the sun warms things up and it stays hot way after the sun goes down in the summer.

Baseball is meant to be played in the open air!
