広島・前田智が１２号ソロ！　２０００安打まであと『３』
　（セ・リーグ、阪神２−３広島、１９回戦、広島１１勝７敗１分、２９日、甲子園）通算２０００安打まで、広島・前田智が残り『３』とした。二回に先制の足場を築く右前打、四回には右翼席へ１２号ソロ。いずれも上園の甘いフォークボールを鮮やかにとらえた。これでここ１０試合は３９打数１４安打、打率・３５９。スイングは鋭さを増しており、３０日の偉業達成も十分ありそうだが「あと３本もある。（達成がいつになるかは）神様が知ってるよ」。この日は走塁でもみせた。二回は失策に乗じ、二塁から好判断で一気に本塁へ。「とっさに昔の本能がよみがえったよ。でも足はダメ。がらくたの最後のあがき」とコメントした。
