Kapler Picked up by Brewers
Former Yomiuri Giant Gabe Kaplan has come out of retirement to play outfield for the Brewers for one year at $800k.

Last year, according to Yahoo! Sports, he was a coach in the Red Sox farm league organization.

Here is a guy who was totally miserable in Japan and now hasn't played for a year. I thought he'd get a non-roster invite when he said (in October) that he wanted to play again. But a guaranteed contract? Well, who am I to say the Brewers don't know what they are doing off of the way they improved last year?

Now, if the Orioles had signed Kapler, I'd know the guy is finished.
